"SN" Adoption & "Her"
Six years ago...China had a "traditional non Special needs" adoption process that has virtually stopped. Now Every Adoption for the most part in China is classified as a "Special Need" Adoption.
Meaning children are classified as "Special need" based on age alone or on documented "needs" whether it be physical, mental, or medical needs. A lot of the time children have all of the needs mentioned.
Today there a lot of Boys and Moderate to Severe "SN" children of all ages in China as well as older children ages 10-13 waiting for families. At age 14 children "age out" of the China Welfare system and lose their chance at ever being adopted.
For our 2nd China Adoption. We wish we were more open minded, but their is only so much we can handle. So...we would like to adopt an older child preferably 6-7 years old. Who is healthy or has minor, corrected, or correctable special needs.
We know this is a Long Shot...
But hope "She" is out there.

The Journey...
I'll never forget the day I met Sophi. She means the world to me and it only took a short time for me after meeting her to know, one thing. I wanted to re-visit China to find her a Sister! Someday...
And now I can cautiously say that the illusive "Someday" could be any day in the near future. In recent years the thought of Adoption has lead me on a journey of what has seemed like a "thousand miles"...filled with anticipation, sadness, joy, frustration, rejection and exhaustion! Still I have felt possibility... because I've seen possibilities become realities.
As I have waited for "possibility" I have come to of know another who waits..."The waiting Child" Who like all of us has problems seen & unseen...who knows heartbreak & happiness and who is humbled and lives on through it all in hopes of something better.
And so we cross our fingers and begin this journey with a chance of success and failure with a single step.

Yes...Yes...YES!
After years of hearing words...
like "Heck No, No, and Maybe" in reference to a 2nd Adoption from China. I finally heard the word I wondered if I'd ever hear...
Yes...
Yes...
YES!
Yes...
YES!
